Carved from a single piece of wood. Using the tension in the 2.5mm thickness, a single piece of leather is cut, twisted, and sewn to create a three dimensional silhouette. This [animal object] series is an evolution of woodcarving folkcraft objects. With its head tilted, it has a peculiar facial expression that seems to speak to you. It's impressive eyes are reproduced by cutting out round bits of leather, and making an incision in it. The rough wood grain is likened to a feather pattern that covers the streaks of the toes.
